Volunteers gather every Wednesday afternoon at various locations in downtown Princeton to discuss ways to support and contribute to the renaissance. EVERY MONDAY! Open Stage Night

The Room Upstairs @ The RiffRaff, 869 Mercer Street, Princeton, WV

The Room Upstairs, a beautiful turn of the century ballroom, plays host to a weekly music and creative gathering. All ages and all styles are welcome. Comfortable couches make for a laid back living room style theater atmosphere, and great sound and lighting make for a top notch performance experience. No alcohol is served, and coffee, drinks and snacks are complimentary. There is a $3 charge for audience members and $2 for performers. For more info., visit theriffraff.net.

Clean Up Day!

All Together Arts Grand Finale PARADE and Day of Merriment

The sixth annual celebration of All Together Arts Week concludes with the most colorful and whimsical day of the year in dowtown Princeton!

The arts community brings Mercer Street to life, and anyone is welcome to be a part.

We will meet at 11am for Arts Alive in the Streets! We will sidewalk chalk, hair paint, get in costume, and make music & merriment! (Meet right in front of The RiffRaff and/or The Town Square!)

At 12:30 we'll make our way down to the PARADE starting point (the parking lot next to Service Cleaners) and the PARADE will march at 1pm.

After the parade, we will proceed to the Town Square for a Drum Circle, and more music & merriment!

No motorized vehicles are permitted, but costumes, wings, puppets, and glitter are highly encouraged. Non-motorized floats are also encouraged!

Are you interested in the renaissance of downtown Princeton? Would you like to get more involved? Do you have ideas you would like to share, questions you would like answered or insight you would like to bring to the table?

Please join us at our first community forum of 2014 on Tuesday, February 11 at 6pm in The Turnaround Concert & Gathering Hall at 855 Mercer Street.

Mix and mingle with othe...rs you probably have a lot in common with! Meet new friends, brainstorm ideas and think outside of the box to envision the future of Mercer Street. Put a group of creative and driven citizens together in a room and amazing ideas will result!

Members of the Princeton Renaissance Project team will be there to answer all your questions, update you on progress and listen to your ideas.

2014 Downtown Countdown

An epic New Year's Eve celebration featuring:

Countdown, Ball Drop, Sparkling Cider Toast and FIREWORKS at the stroke of midnight! (sponsored by Ramey Toyota) Music by JC/BC in The Renaissance Theater Free Finger Foods and music by Patient Jazz in The Turnaround Special guest performances by Melissa McKinney in both venues Acoustic Music in The "Hot Chocolate Spot" by Tim & Maggie Jusiel Family-friendly merriment in the streets DJ Dough-T in the Princeton Town Square! Street performers

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and Kids 10 & under are free. Tickets gain you access to all four stages of professional musical entertainment (3 Indoor, 1 Outdoor) plus cool street performances, free finger foods in The Turnaround, free hot chocolate* and sparkling cider at midnight. The site will be like a festival, with tons to see and do beginning at 8pm. There will be cool lighting, magic in the air and, of course, the ball drop that will go down in history as downtown Princeton's first.

Screening of Hollow: An Interactive Documentary on McDowell County

The Old Lavon/Royal Theatre, Princeton , WV

Come experience Hollow, an interactive and participatory documentary that focuses on the residents of McDowell County, West Virginia. Join Elaine McMillion, director of Hollow, and associate producer, Tricia Fulks, as they discuss the process behind creating the project and working with residents to create an authentic view of life in Central Appalachia today. The event will include screening 60 minutes of documentary content and will allow attendees to add their story to an ongoing collection about life in Southern West Virginia.
