Dixon's Violin Live in The Room Upstairs

The Room Upstairs @ The RiffRaff , 869 Mercer Street

The world's premier visionary violinist, Dixon's life mission is to inspire people - and he has done so across North America, including giving three TED talks/performances, ten years at Burning Man, plus radio, TV, and film appearances. Dixon walked away from a distinguished career to follow his dream full-time, and invented a whole new music genre. Based on his classically-trained violin mastery, Dixon now improvises on a 5-string electric violin with a looper to create an all-live one-man symphony. Guided by his remarkable personal story of life transformation, he shows the beauty of doing something seemingly impossible. Dixon's passionate energy will enchant, mesmerize, and inspire you!

Catch this concert in the beautiful Room Upstairs, a turn of the century ballroom turned small theater featuring couches and a laid back listening room atmosphere.

Tickets are $12 and include complimentary drinks and snacks.

In other words, you may have bid $100.00 on an item and win it for less than your High Bid. The winning absentee bidders will be notified within a day or two of the 7th and arrangements will then be made for payment, pick-up, etc.

The works of art are now available for viewing and early bidding at More will be added soon, so check back often.

A live auction conducted by Mike and Anita Eades of 4 Seasons Antiques will conclude the evening of this event. The artwork will be on display the week leading into the auction in the Grand Hall at CMC. You maybe stop by to view the art and also make bids in person if you desire.

Community Art Talks: Bridging the Gap Between Art & YOU!

The Room Upstairs @ The RiffRaff , 865 Mercer Street

This is the fifth in a series of artist talks bridging the gap between art and the every day human. Every month will feature an open conversation with an artist.

The featured artist for February is Moren. She is a self taught artist that has worked with both traditional and digital media for the majority of her life. For the past five years, she's been designing characters and worlds and stories, focusing mostly on fantasy and sci-fi based themes. She fondly enjoys making both her characters and their environments lush and as tangible as possible. It wasn’t until after high school that she started wanting to work towards a more solid project regarding all the material she's created over the years. Starting in 2015, she has been working towards turning several long term projects into comics/graphic novels and possibly art books.

She also frequently take commissions online, mostly consisting of illustrating characters or things from other people’s stories and projects they’ve created.

This event is FREE of charge and complimentary coffee and cookies will be served. Please Join Us!
